There are over 200 different catalog formats available, with the choice you make being dependant on such things as the type and number of products you have, whether you want to include product images, whether you need long or short descriptions, whether you will offer customers a range of selectable options, and whether prices will need frequent changes.
Importantly too, WebGenie Shopping Cart software lets you readily modify and update your catalogs, at any time and with minimum effort.
The system also uses editable templates to
fine tune the system to suit your site and tastes. You can
also add any number of custom pges to the store via the
admin interface. When product details change you need only
to upload the data. Similarly, to change the looks of all catalog pages you can upload a new template
or edit via easy to use web interfaces.
And in the all important area of customer remittances, Shopping Cart Professional enables you to offer the methods of payments that you want. So you could, for example, opt for:

About Configuring Your Shopping Cart
There are several different formats in which to create your shopping cart catalogs. The choice depends on the type and number of products, whether there are images, long or short descriptions, selectable options, or frequently changing prices.
We provide editable templates to create the catalogs themselves as well as the CGI-generated dynamic pages. Which means your site's own very individual look and feel can be maintained throughout.
You can also use any language on these template pages (e.g. Japanese).
The system allows you to have multiple languages for different
regions and the customer can choose his/her preferred
language.
Tax, shipping and discounts can be defined easily and can be readily changed. It is also possible to selectively tax different items or apply discounts to selected items - by editing simple text files.
Orders are emailed and/or encrypted … and are then stored on the server. There is a built-in protection - to be activated if required - against loss of order emails due to false labelling by any anti-Spam software you may have in place.
The system resides on your server and is highly customizable to suit any special requirements. This enables you to implement any specific function that is not available in any shopping cart software. Or, alternatively, we can carry out that customization for a small and very cost-effective fee.
Our system supports all major payment gateways including Verisign, WorldPay,
AuthorizeNet, PayPal and over 30 others.

Shopping Cart Technical Details
While our software is designed for the non-technical person, if you are IT minded, the following specifications may be of interest.
• Platform: Any UNIX or Windows based server.
• Web server: Apache or IIS with
PHP facility.
• Mail server: SMTP server
(generally standard on all web servers)
• FTP client: Your favorite FTP client software (e.g. WS_FTP or CuteFTP) can be used to transfer the files. We recommend, however, to use the built-in FTP client in our program.
• Mail reader: Your own mail client (e.g. OutLook, Eudora, etc.). No mail client is provided within the program.
• Web browser: There is an inbuilt web browser within the program – used to quickly test the catalogs – but we recommend that you use your favorite browser (e.g. Internet Exporer,
FireFox, etc.)
• Product data: The product data is to be maintained as an Excel sheet. You need Microsoft Office to view and edit this file.
• HTML editor: The catalogs and
product pages are auto-generated by teh program and hence you
don't normally require an external HTML editor.
